In the morning peak hour there's sometimes congestion on the highway A 100 starting at the junction Funkturm moving eastwards into the tunnel TOB. Considering the german guidelines this may not be accepted and the tunnel has to be closed. To reduce the number of closings there's an active flow metering by closing a lane in front of the tunnel and closing ramps for the corresponding direction. By these means the incoming traffic flow is reduced and a closing is not necessary.

Because it is an highway tunnel it is only possible to visit it by car untless you come in summer and attend the large bicycle-demonstration.
